About The Friends of Upton Country Park

The Friends of Upton Country Park was established in May 1976 and is a Registered Charity, supporting the running of the House and grounds.

We work in partnership with the Borough of Poole, the landlords of this beautiful Estate, towards the protection, improvement and promotion of the Estate for the enjoyment and education of all visitors.

The Friends run the Plant Centre and the refreshments / information Kiosk behind the House, and we organise regular events in order to raise funds towards projects in the House and Park.

We also staff the House when it is open to the public:

Our achievements are many and varied, more recent of which has been a £50,000 contributions towards the Walled Garden improvements (summer 2012) and £23,000 towards the new Woodland Play Trail (winter 2012).

In 2016 an All Terrain Vehicle (£11,000) and Chipper (£11,000) were purchased for use in the Park.
